The word quadrature means the process of determining a square that has an area equal to the area enclosed by a given curve. The presentation starts off by looking at the areas of squares, rectangles and parallelograms, and then moves onto more complex shapes such as general quadrilaterals, circles, ellipses and even the shape of a 50p piece!
