Farther than Liverpool airport, but with better international flight connections. Getting to Liverpool is very easy. There are direct trains connecting the airport to Liverpool city centre and the journey takes around an hour. For more information see link.
It is possible to fly into any London airport and get to Liverpool the same day. There are very frequent direct trains between Liverpool and London Euston. The journey takes around 2 hours, hovewer, if tickets are not booked in advance, the price can be high.
The main train station is Liverpool Lime Street, which is a 10min walk from the university. Liverpool is very well connected to the national rail network, with frequent direct trains to London, Manchester and many other cities. Tickets can be booked in advance to minimise cost.
