White Dwarfs: Dark Matter Detectors in Space - Dr Juri Smirnov

I will show you how a type of very old star, so-called White Dwarfs, can be used to test the idea that our universe is filled with a yet-undiscovered substance called dark matter.
The observations of galaxies suggest that such a substance must exist; however, no other tests have been successful so far. We will think together about other ways forward towards solving this mystery.
