Recurrence relations have numerous applications in many areas of mathematics, such as in number theory and combinatorics. Come along to find out why and how!
In this talk, we will explore problems involving recurrence relations and explore how they can be used to reduce complicated problems into simpler versions of the problem. We will also use recurrence relations to study the hidden properties of that mysterious and wonderful set of numbers, the Fibonacci numbers.
