Here are a few links to places you may be interested to see.
-
In close walking distance of our Department you find Liverpool's two
spectacular Cathedrals, the Metropolitan
(Catholic) Cathedral and, a bit further away, the Anglican
Cathedral, which is the biggest Cathedral in Britain and
the fifth largest in the world.
-
Also only five minutes away, in Hope Street, there are the
Everyman
Theatre (with the Everyman Bistro, where we
frequently go for our pre-seminar lunches) and the Royal Liverpool
Philharmonic. Between the two but on the other side of
Hope Street is the
Philharmonic Pub, a true classic.
-
If you are interested in film, try
FACT for more than non-mainstream cinema in a
great venue.
-
Of course, there is the World Heritage site Albert
Dock at the river Mersey. There you find, among other
attractions, the Beatles Story and TATE
Liverpool.
-
For many other interesting museums check here. Entrance to
most of the museums in Liverpool is free!
