PostGrad/PostDoc Discussion Group, Liverpool Theoretical Physics, Year 2008/09

Our internal PostGrad/PostDoc Discussion Group will happen approx. every two weeks (as announced) on Fridays, 1pm in our seminar room 117.

• 1st meeting in the academic year 2008/2009, 24th October:
  * Discussion of format and topics this year.
  
• 2nd meeting, 31st October:
  * Computing (in TP) at Liverpool.
  * Discussion for literature coming sessions on Higgs.
  
• 3rd meeting, 7th November, 2:30 pm:
  * Seminar Debriefing.
  * Higgs: Introduction to the Higgs mechanism and the Higgs in the SM (Gary will lead through the discussion).

  * Higgs in the MSSM (Chi will lead through the discussion).

  * Discussion of the phenomenology of the SM Higgs decays (Owen will lead through the discussion).
