-------------------------------------------------------------------------- `Probing mechanisms of neutrinoless double beta decay in the LHC era' Abstract: If neutrinoless double beta decay (0vbb) is observed, it will be important to understand the underlying mechanism driving this process. I will give a brief overview of 0vbb, before discussing how for certain TeV scale lepton number violating (LNV) theories the LHC could act as a complementary probe of 0vbb. In many cases there are LNV couplings that can lead to collider final states indistinguishable from those related to 0vbb. I will discuss how charge asymmetry ratio could give us additional information to differentiate these couplings. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
