`Some recent results on the masses of glueballs from lattice QCD' Abstract: I report our results (arXiv:1208.1858) for the masses of glueballs from lattice QCD and discuss their implications for the soon to start PANDA experiment in Germany. I review the various ways that people have used to understand the fundamental degrees of freedom describing the glueball spectrum. I show some preliminary results for the glueball masses with a new form of boundary conditions. At the end of the talk I briefly review the recent interest in flavour singlet mesons in strongly interacting BSM theories.
