------------------------------------------------------------------------ `Jet Quenching in the LHC Era' Abstract: Jet quenching in heavy ion collisions was one of the most important discoveries at RHIC. While the kinematic reach at RHIC was limited, the LHC will open up new opportunities for detailed jet studies. I will briefly discuss the phenomenology of jet quenching including first data from the LHC. The main focus will be on the theoretical tools and current understanding of the phenomenon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
