`Exclusive HVM production at the LHC'

After a short introduction to exclusive processes two different approaches to exclusive heavy 
vector meson (HVM) production are reviewed. We discuss the development of a partly automated 
NLO calculation in collinear factorisation. Additionally, an attempt at using a physically 
motivated 'beyond' LO model in k_T factorisation (due to Ryskin et al.) to extract a prediction 
for the low scale gluon PDF at low x<10^{-4} from recent LHCb data is presented.
