`Black Holes in N=2 Supergravity'

I will give an overview of the dimensional reduction from 5d to 4d of a theory of n vector multiplets
coupled to a single gravity multiplet. We find that, after restricting to certain solutions, the resulting 
instanton can be dimensionally oxidised to give the metric of a 5d Reissner-Nordstrom black hole. I will 
end by introducing a related research project that I am now involved with.
