`Magnetic imaging and remote sensing of shipwrecks' 

Abstract: 

No quantum physics this time: this talk involves classical
electromagnetic theory - magneto-statics - to explore remote sensing of
ferro-magnetic objects by their effect on the earth's magnetic field.
My main application will be to imaging of shipwrecks under the seabed
from magnetic measurements taken at the surface.

I plan to do a demo (I shall bring my own shipwreck) during the lecture.
