`Lattice QCD: where are the gluons in hadrons?'

Abstract: Lattice QCD is introduced. Applications to mesons, in particular 
favour-singlet mesons are discussed. Methods to evaluate disconneced quark 
diagrams are presented. Pseudoscalar and vector mesons are contrasted. 
Isospin breaking is briefly discussed (eg rho-omega mixing). Finally strange 
quarks in the nucleon (which play an important role in interpreting 
experimental searches for dark matter) are reviewed.
