-------------------------------------------------------------------------- `Generalized double-logarithmic large-x resummation in perturbative QCD' Abstract: After an introduction to the general description of hard-lepton hadron processes in perturbative QCD, the talk focuses on the large-x (threshold) behaviour of the splitting functions (governing the scale dependence of the parton distributions) and of the coefficient functions (partonic cross sections). A new approach is discussed which facilitates an all-order resummation of quantities and contributions not covered by the standard soft-gluon exponentiation. The leading- and next-to-leading-logarithmic results can be expressed via new (?) special functions defined in terms of Bernoulli numbers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
