`Strong-interaction physics from lattice QCD in Landau gauge' Abstract: Lattice calculations of the Landau-gauge gluon and ghost propagators have attracted quite some interest during the last 15 years. Although lattice data for these elementary Green's functions of QCD is of minor importance for a plain lattice-QCD based approach to QCD, it is an important ingredient when one addresses QCD with functional methods. In this talk I will review some of my recent lattice studies on this subject, in particular those where there has been a valuable interplay between lattice and functional studies in the past. I will also show how lattice data for these propagators can be used to estimate the strong coupling constant from first principles.
