How do I use the scanner in R806?

• Scan an image and edit/save it. Inthis case use 'Ulead Photo Express'
  1. Put original face down on scanner with top towards you.
  2. Start/Programmes/ULead Photo Express
  3. In Photo Express, select scanner and specify Mirascan (if required on first use).
  4. Select 'acquire'
  5. When Mirascan starts, select preview.
  6. Adjust scanned region if required.
  7. Select scan.
  8. In Photo Express, edit or Save etc as required.

• Scan a text document and use OCR to convert to Word or ordinary text. In this case, you use TextBridge:
  1. Put first page face down on scanner with top towards you.
  2. Start/Programmes/TextBridge Classic
  3. Select scanner and specify Mirascan (if required on first use).
  4. In TextBridge hit the left button (auto processing) then select 'scanner' as page source.
  5. When Mirascan starts, select preview.
  6. Adjust scanned region if required.
  7. Select scan.
  8. When finished 'recognising text', select More or No More pages.
  9. Save as Word Rich Text File (*.rtf) if planning to use Word or ASCI text if planning to use for TeX etc, or Excel or ...
